The main goal of the ADKOM’s international conference was to examine the various options that might be taken to “modernize” the regulation of the water sector in the country, for purposes of promoting a truly sustainable utilities that safeguards our environment whilst ensuring the provision of reliable water supply and wastewater reuse services nationwide. Review of the governance of the water sector is needed now to ensure that the usage of water is sustainable in the long term and in respect of environmental limits.
